Download
Download the latest macOS installer: PrismSetup.pkg
This installer uses universal binaries for the plug-in, which will work for Intel x64
or M1
processors.
Audio Units Support
Apple Audio Units (AU
) support is still experimental. Feel free to test it, but there may be breaking changes
in the AU version in future releases, so use it accordingly.
Note: If you don't see the Prism AU plug-in in your DAW's AUi list you may need to restart your computer for the system's Audio Units plug-in cache to update.
Run the Installer Package
Once downloaded, run the plug-in installer package PrismSetup.pkg
to get started.
The Prism Installer Package will guide you through installation of the Prism plug-in.
Click the Continue
button to begin.
Read the License
Please carefully read the License Agreement
Note: If you do not agree with this License Agreement please
abort the installation process by clicking the Disagree
button at this time.
Choose Install Destination
Select the desired install configuration and click the Continue
button.
Begin Installation
Click Install
to start installing plug-in files.
Prism will install some support files such as readme
and changelog
files
as well as the user's manual
to /Library/Prism/{VERSION}/
Note:
The plug-in file Prism.vst3
will be installed to the standard directory for VST3 plug-ins on macOS:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
Note:
The plug-in file Prism.component
will be installed to the standard user directory for AU plug-ins on macOS:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
Note: Any additional files used by the plug-in (such as the license file) will be installed to:
~/Library/CymaticSomatics/Plugins/Prism
Complete Installation
Once installation has completed you can press the Close
button to close the installer.

Note about AU plug-in: If you don't see the Prism AU plug-in in your DAW's AUi list you may need to restart your computer for the system's Audio Units plug-in cache to update.
How to Uninstall
To uninstall the plug-in and its related files, open Finder
and browse to:
/Library/Prism/{VERSION}
Locate the uninstall.app
file and double-click it:
Enter your user name and password to confirm uninstallation and hit the OK
button:
Uninstall Complete!
You have now successfully uninstalled the plug-in and its related files from your computer.
